A bit about me & hubby; I'm 26, Hubby 31, married April 09, went off pill in Oct 09. I've been reading this great book “The Natural Way to Better Babies; preconception health care for prospective parents” by Francesca Naish & Janette Roberts (Has anyone else read this book?) Since reading this we have both decreased our alcohol and caffeine intake to nearly 0 since Nov 09. (it was very hard to give up my daily coffee at work though!!) & increased our exercise to get a bit fitter & healthier for a bubs. Mind you we are both pretty fit as it is! So the exercise hasn’t been the hard part but our diet is shocking!! I also started growing all my own home grown veggies since mid last year in a bid to cut out unknown chemicals!! I would prefer to wait to start trying for bubs after 6mnths off the pill, but hubby wanted to start trying straight away, however as it has been 4.5 months…Hubby is now starting to get a bit worried as to why we have not yet conceived, I was checked out in May last year while Drs were inside looking for something else & everything was all A-ok back then, but hubby is thinking about getting tested if we weren’t pregnant by the end of this month, well now “flow has come to town” a week early today! Which is actually unusual for me, since being off the pill my cycle has been really regular, has anyone else experienced this change in cycle after being off the pill for a while? Could this just be that my cycle is re-adjusting and that I will actually start ovulating from now on and haven’t been ovulating the last few months? Also has anyone found an actual BBT thermometer, I can’t find one anywhere & so have just been using a normal thermometer but this doesn’t catch the really small changes to 2 decimal points. Does anyone know if it is still for charting? Sorry this got a bit long, but it will be great talking & getting to know you all & hearing everyone’s stories and advice. Andrea __________________ |
